Hitchin a ride (The trip home)

Samantha figured out a great way to go from Point A to be in the airport. ON Great Grandma's lap. It sure made it easier to carry bags!

Last Dance (Day six in Hawaii)

Final day in Hawaii. We played and explored and swam and shopped. And said goodbye. Can not wait to do this again. Samantha was such an excellent travel companion.

Pop goes the girl (Hawaii Day 5)

Samantha learned how to pop Ednamen (sp?) out of their shells. She really enjoyed it. I am gonna have to buy some. She loves eating them too!

The attack of the Tiger shark (Hawaii Day 5)

Okay so maybe not. Here we are at this beautiful beach in Hawaii. Waters are calm. My daughter is finally brave enough to splash around in the water and play on the shores edge where the water can get her. So here are some sweet pictures of the men in her life playing in the sand with her. What there are not pictures of is when she was playing with her Aunt Susie in the shallows and there was a "shadow" that swam not ten feet away from them "investigating" and swam away as J marched purposefully towards his daughter. We found out later that the chanel that is part of this beach houses a lot of Tiger sharks and Tiger sharks are known to go about a foot onto shore to capture baby pigs. Um...my daughter is just a little bit bigger than that but still a mouthful. Maybe it was the swim suit that scared it away?

Playing at the Park (Hawaii Day 5)

There was this incredible park just down from our condo that was designed by kids and built by the community. We had so much fun playing around on the structure. We had to go back a second day!

A Day at the pool (Hawaii Day 4)

The whole gang was there (Hawaii Day 3)

From Left to right. Great Aunt Susie, Grandma, Great Grandma, Daddy and Gramps.

Bathing Beauty (Hawaii Day 3)

On the second day/third day in Hawaii we went to the beach and snorkled. Munchkin of course hung out on the beach and played in the sand forever making an adult go get water for her from the ocean because she didn't want to go in. J and I finally took her in and she was a bit freaked out by the fish swimming around her. She was in our arms the whole time! And mainly out of the water.

Too sweet Hawaii Day 2

its a bit fuzzy but I loved this shot

Samantha playing in the ocean (Hawaii Day 2)

Samantha was a bit surprised that it was cool and it moved!

Breakfast (Day Two Hawaii)

What a way to start the morning. Sunrise and a bowl of granola fed to you out on the balcony.

She took it all off (Day one Hawaii!)

Samantha stripped soon after we got to Hawaii. Not sure why she did it but she stripped and ran around naked until we got the sunscreen and a bathing suit on her for the pool

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Yup that's Samantha sitting in her own seat on an airplane destin for Hawaii!!! She did great on the flight and we both truly enjoyed her own seat!!! She did sit on my lap for take off and landing and even flapped her wings and did blast off like they do on LIttle Einsteins!

Let it snow

Someone told us when we moved up here that it doesn't snow like it used to. Well.....we have had so much snow in one week that they declared a state of emergency and closed schools. We didn't get plowed out until the Thursday (this started on Saturday!) We had the

fourth snowiest January on record. Of course Samantha still managed to ride her tricycle.

Samantha's first professional hair cut

Samantha had her first professional hair cut. It was great she behaved so well and spent the whole time watching what Jen was doing with the mirror. Oh ya I cut my hair too!!! ten inches

Who said ringing in the new year with a two year old couldn't be fun!

Air hockey and alochol and a lot of giggling. Happy New year to all (no the two year old did not have alochol.)

Christmas Day at Grandma and Gramps.

By the time we got to my parents house on Christmas day Samantha had lost a lot of steam. Of course she still enjoyed opening presents but was having more fun playing with her phone! All in all though I think she truly enjoyed her second/ third christmas.

Christmas Morning continued

Surprise Uncle Gabe was there!

oh no it was a tickle me cookie monster (Samantha is terrified of animated stuffed animals) I don't blame her!

Christmas morning (early)

Hey Mom Look under the Christmas tree!1
It's a nutcracker (which she kept saying Dance Dance Dance)
Opening her stocking. Gymbo from Gymboree was hiding in her stocking!

Christmas Eve

After church on Christmas Eve we went over to Heather's parents house and opened Christmas presents with them. The above pictures are Samantha opening presents with her Auntie Heather and her Grandma Sue. As always it was a great way to start the Christmas festivities!

Be cute and get a boy to do it

What kind of lessons am I teaching my daughter? Samantha has a friend who is just too cute. meet Noah! He is about six months younger than her but they have had fun playing together. Need to do it more often. Strangly though I have noticed that Samantha has the uncanny ability, no matter the age of the boy, to get them to do things for her like push her around in a stroller!
