Oh Peas (The story)

Okay so sometimes you just have to stop and have a real laugh. Today was one of those days.....partially had to laugh to keep from crying...and then I was crying because I was laughing. So lunch was lovely in my nice clean kitchen and munchkin was eating her favorite food. When all of a sudden she discovered that the peas explode when you squeeze them! Oh crap! Peas everywhere.!!!!! and lots of laughter!!!!! and juice and stickiness.....and on the dog...and on me....and on the table and....oh the whole nine yards! OH ya, and did I mention I just cleaned the floor and the kitchen this morning. I was laughing so hard and so was Miss Samantha. We had to call her Daddy and all he got on the phone was the two of us laughing so hard I couldn't talk. OH PEAS! What a day! This is when I stop and think....Thank God I am a mother!

Of course how should I end this whole thing? But with a nice pink cookie...thanks SUE! (had to get the cookie out of the house somehow!) Of course now I shudder to think what will happen the next time I serve peas for dinner! (look out Heather and Marvel!)

Good Friends

We had a wounderful visit with Kristin and Bryce last week. Samantha really enjoyed being able to play with a more active Bryce this time. She spends so much time looking at his picture that I think she was enjoying the real thing! She of course hated sharing but seemed to miss both Kristin and Bryce when they were gone. We will have to have more visits as they get older. I think next time the one sided wrestling matches will be a thing of the past. Hopefully next time there won't be a cold to share! Hence the drugged look of both children in the last photo!

I can't believe it

Yes that is my daughter on a potty! And yes she did it! She peeeeeeeed in a big girl toilet. And this was after only having the potty in the house for fifteen minutes. Yes she is a little young but for the past two to three weeks every time one of us uses the toilet she backs her little butt right into us and works on pulling down her pants. (and just before Easter she successfully peed in the big people potty!) Okay so you know you are a parent when something like this is a big deal...but well...its a big deal!!!! Of course there are slight tears on my part (not really) because I am not ready to be putting her on a school bus and sending her off to school!

I would have to say one of the better Easter gifts was that my brother (Uncle Gabe) paid us multiple visits. Here he is with Samantha outside. And of course another photo of the beautiful baby in the beautiful Easter dress!

What a beautiful day Easter was. Of course then there was the beautiful baby!!! Loved the dress (Thanks Heather!) Samantha had a pretty fun time exploring her gram's backyard and flowers!

Day at the Beach part Two

Samantha had a lot of fun at the beach with her Grandpa Dunne and Grandma Dana. Of course her Mom had to teach her how to chase seagulls and that added hours of entertainment!

We went down to California for Easter and as luck would have it we had a beautiful day at the Beach. Samantha loved digging in the sand with her daddy. The waves scared her at first but she had a lot of fun.

Yup that is snow that you see in the second picture. And yup Samantha was outside three days before barefoot and without a coat and it was warm enough! Yup this is spring in the North West part of the country!!! (Eastern Washington!) Can you believe it? I can. today is colder than yesterday. By Saturday it will be seventy degrees! CRAZY
